Wild wildfire ravages a part of Cape Town, South Africa


Firefighters fight to douse t flames on the upper slopes of the mountain in Somerset West, Capetown overnight after fire broke out Tuesday morning.
The strong fire fanned by strong winds damaged several homes and lead to the evacuation of the residents. 
Helicopters and fixed wing planes battled the strong winds and turbulence to save lives and collect water to help douse the fire.

According to News 24 Large areas of vegetation and vineyards at Somerset West’s historic and award-winning Vergelegen Estate have been destroyed by wildfires.

Fire fighter hope to bring the fire under control tonight. The temperature in the area is expected to soar to 34°C on Wednesday and the wind is expected to pick up again, according to the report by News24.
