The eyes are already riveted towards the big evening. In its sixth edition, the organizers of the Francophone Cinema Awards have unveiled the official list of selected films, fifty-four fictions for feature films and twenty-five for short films. In the list, two Cameroonian films appear in this selection in the feature film category: “The two faces of the Bamileke woman”, a work by Cameroonian director Rosine Mbakam. It is a documentary film almost autobiographical, in which the filmmaker who stands behind his camera, plunges us into the intimacy of the Bamileke woman. But who is she really? This is the mystery of this fiction that offers an odyssey in Bamileke country in the world of women.
The second film is signed Achille Brice with “Life point”. A love story featuring a retired university teacher and a girl in her twenties who is a dance teacher
The Francophone Cinema Awards take place every year during the month of December in different countries. Since its launch and as the principle of rotativity, it has already organized in five cities: Dakar, Paris, Abidjan, Beirut and Yaounde. For this sixth edition, the city of Saint-Louis in Senegal is in the spotlight. The country of Ousmane Sembène is on the alert to make December 8, 2018, a memorable evening for all the movie buffs who will make the trip.
