Khama Billiat turned 29 years old and we decided to honour him by taking a look at his life.


Khama Billiat has been in the spotlight the past couple of weeks as the Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs have been playing tug-of-war for the footballer.

However, today he’s not focusing on his career but a special day – his birthday. In honour of the footballer turning 29 on Monday, Scaresinfo decided to take a look at five facts about his life and career.


Billiat was born in Zimbabwe in Harare on 19 August, 1990. He attended the Gwinyiro Primary School in Mufakose, where his talent was discovered by the school’s groundsman, Mr Arufa Sumani.

2. LearningHe struggles with learning According to Zimbabweans In South Africa, Billiat had a tough time learning. His tutor, Mrs Eunice Dembera, said it was a struggle to get the star footballer to read a single sentence in English.

3. Expensive taste in cars

Billiat showed off his Range Rover Lulmma CLR RS 2019 – which has a starting price of R2.5 million. If the car belongs to him, it would mean Billiat drives the most expensive car in the PSL.

4. Career

In South Africa Billiat kick-started his career in South Africa after joining Ajax Cape Town in 2010. After three years at the Ajax Cape Town, Billiat moved to the Mamelodi Sundowns. In June 2018, following a five-year contract with the Brazilians, Billiat signed a deal with the Kaizer Chiefs.

5. SalaryBilliat became the ABSA Premiership’s highest paid footballer following his move to Amakhosi. According to several reports, including from The Citizen and Sport24, Billiat earns a whopping R10 million a year.
