Cocoa farmers angry over the fall in cocoa prices.

As per APA, the cost of cocoa has been falling since the principal quarter of the year when it fell beneath 1,000 CFA francs, and keeps on falling unabated. The normal field cost per kilogram fluctuates between 800 CFA francs and 900 CFA francs, as per insights arranged by the data arrangement of the cultivating segment (SIF).

It is a long way from the great time of October, November and December, in which the cost of cocoa had achieved pikes of up to 1,500 CFA francs for every kilogram.

As per reliable data, the fall in cocoa costs in Cameroon is a result of the descending pattern in world ware costs on the global market.

Amid the 2016-2017 cocoa season, generation was more than 250,000 tons, which is still a long way from the anticipated 600,000 tons by 2020.
