Cameroon’s Minister of Defense Joseph Beti Assomo has made an appeal calling for the indigent of Manyu Division in the South West Region to return home.
The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense made the call on Monday January 2, 2018, after he paid a visit to Dadi village, a locality found within the outskirts of the trouble stricken area of Manyu Division. According to him, all secessionists and terrorists waging war against the Cameroonian soldiers appointed to defend the territorial integrity and boundaries have been chased away from Manyu.
The Defence boss while talking to the national broadcaster the Cameroon Radio Television, invited inhabitants who fled as a result of the incursion to return to their respective Villages as the military has finally recaptured the key strongholds that were being occupied as hideout for the gangs. While admitting that nearly all the villagers have ran away from their villages, Beti Assomo reiterated the head of state’s resolve that appropriate measures are on the way to bring calm and serenity into the division.
