It has been mentioned in a statement that Ambassador Michael Steven Hoza who left Cameroon last Sept 2017, will be replaced in the days ahead by Peter Henry Barlerin.
The revelation was echoed by the U.S. Congress on December 2, 2017, where Senators took rounds in a voice vote.
Addressing the Senators in Congress on October 6, 2017, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Cameroon, noted with strong affirmation that Governance was one of the issues which could slow or improve the development of a country like Cameroon.
Cameroon according to him, which is Africa in Miniature is blessed with a wave of potentials which should be preserved.
He vowed to work with the committee and others in congress to advance US interests in Cameroon.
This is the first job of the U.S. envoy as an ambassador.
I will work with the government of Cameroon, the people of Cameroon and our international partners to ensure that elections in 2018 are free fair and credible as well as peaceful.
