The charred remains were found on Wednesday afternoon‚ said EMPD spokesperson Clifford Shongwe.
Paramedics were called in after locals noticed the burning vehicle.
“It is alleged one body was in the front‚ the second body was in the backseat and the third was inside the boot‚” said Shongwe.
“It appears the bodies were tied‚ both hands and feet. The one in the boot could have been a sangoma because he had sangoma beads.”
Police were investigating the incident.
