It’s funny, it’s unbelievable but it’s true. On Wednesday the Queen of England was reported to the police for not wearing a seat belt.
This call was made to the Yorkshire police as the Queen was on her way for the opening of the parliament.
According to authorities, they received a 999 called from someone saying the Queen was not putting on a seatbelt as she travelled with Prince Charles through London from Buckingham palace to Westminster.
Confirming this call in a tweet it was said that the call was and emergency call so it should not have been made to 999.
It should however be noted that according to UK law, criminal proceedings cannot be taken against the Queen. However in the Queen and law section of the Royal family’s website, it states that “The Queen is careful to ensure that all her activities in her personal capacities are carried out in strict accordance with the law”
