Cameroon Frontline Opposition Leader Ni John Fru Ndi, has said Mr. Biya is a “dribbler” and a double “dealer”, because he will be talking about dialogue and the next moment he is arresting people.
The leader of the Social Democratic Front Party, made the statement on Sunday January 7, 2018, at his resident in Ntarinkon, Bamenda, during an interview with Santa Meteo Radio.
He was reacting to a move allegedly made by the government of Cameroon with the Nigerian government to orchestrate the arrest of the President of the Ambazonian Interim Government alongside 8 others on Saturday January 6, 2018 in Abuja, capital of Nigeria.
” So, I think that if it’s the government of Nigeria that arrested them, it’s going to appeal to the Government of Cameroon that they should give that dialogue a chance because I always told people that “Mr. Biya” is a “dribbler” and a double “dealer”, because he will not be talking about dialogue, which he talked about very lightly”,and at the same time planning for their arrest, said the SDF National chairman.
Ni John Fru Ndi, frowned that if this is the case as he said before, then the situation will be going deeper and deeper.
He reiterated that he thought Mr. Biya will give dialogue a chance. With one of his expectations being that Mr Biya, was going to contact the Anglophone leaders he called rebels to come back home so that they can sit on thesame table and fix the Country.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that the President of the Republic rather went after mentioning dialogue though, cunningly ordered the arrest of these people.
“This singular act simply means that Mr. Biya, thinks that it’s by brute force that he has to cue what is happening in the North West and South West Regions of the Country”, he noted.
According to him, arresting the interim President, Sisiku Julius Ayuk Tabe, Dr. Nfor Ngala Nfor, Chairman of the Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC), Dr. Fidelis Nde Che, Dr. Henry Kimeng, Prof. Awasum, Dr. Cornelius Kwanga, Mr. Tassang Wilfred, Barrister Eyambe Elias, Dr. Ojong Okongho and Barrister Nalowa Bih, when he has not yet extended an invitation for them to come home so that they can discuss like adults before arresting them is wrong. And again if he did and they did not come, then it would have been something else.
” But to declare war and the amount of people killed down in Mamfe, Buea, and here in Bamenda etc.. and still trying to reflex muscles on his own people, is really unfortunate and painful because this will not help situations or remedy the one year long standing crisis, John Fru Ndi told Santa Meteo Radio
