Las Vegas mass shooting considered as one of the worst in US modern history

At least 50 people were killed and more than 200 were injured in a mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
It was the worst mass shooting in modern United States history, and one of the worst in the world.
The Vegas massacre’s death toll surpassed that in June 2016, when Omar Mateen killed 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Before that, the deadliest gun attack in the US was carried out by Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 people at a university in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The deadliest mass shooting in the world took place during the Paris attacks in November 2015 , when gunmen killed a total of 128 people by gunfire in various locations across the city. And in July 2011, neo-Nazi Anders Behring Breivik killed 67 people after opening fire at a summer camp in Utoya, Norway.

A retired FBI agent said the Las Vegas shooter — who has been named as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock — caused so much chaos because of his vantage point on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.
“He just had to point at the centre… and squeeze the trigger,” James Gagliano, the former FBI supervisory special agent, said.
