Cameroon: It’s Now Clear That Cameroon Is At War From Terrorists, All Security Measures Have Been Taken To Ensure Peace – President Paul Biya
President Paul Biya has in a declaration over state broadcaster reassured Cameroonians that all necessary measures are on course to secure the territory from criminals and to ensure that peace and security are safeguarded throughout the country.
The President of the Republic of Cameroon, made the statement after a brief interview at the Nsimalen International airport in Yaounde.
That was his very first official statement after arriving Cameroon from Ivory Coast where he took part in the 5th African Union and European Union Summit on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
His excellency Paul Biya said and i quote
I learned with emotion the murder of four Cameroonian soldiers and two policemen in the South West of our country. Following the disappearance of these six brave military and police officers, I would like to express my condolences to the families and to our valiant defense and security forces. I think things are now perfectly clear for everyone. Cameroon is the victim of repeated attacks from a band of terrorists running a secessionist movement. In the face of these acts of aggression, I wish to reassure the Cameroonian people that all steps are being taken to hunt down the criminals and to ensure that peace and security are safeguarded throughout the country
While at the Yaounde Nsimalen international airport, a visibly disturbed President of Cameroon, said it is now clear that Cameroon is at war, under attack by terrorists masking as “secessionists” in the North West & South West Regions and that all security dispositions will be taken to ensure peace reigns.
This reaction from His excellency Paul Biya stems from the killing of four soldiers and two Police officers in Mamfe subdivision on Wednesday November 29, 2017.
Political pundit, have received the reaction from Biya as being timely. Noting that the killings of the forces of law and order is really disturbing and out of place. While others think, all these happenings are as a result of the adamant style of the government, ignoring sensitive issues like the Anglophone brouhaha.
Another political mind said and I quote ” when unidentified persons kill 4, 8 or 10 soldiers, something has happened but when the soldiers kill hundreds of civilians it’s a non event”.
