The SDF parliamentary group has once again taken the National Assembly under hostage this Wednesday November 29, 2017.
They interrupted the Head of Government Prime Minister Philemon Yang as he took the rostrum to defend the 2018 budget for the Country already adopted by the National Assembly of Cameroon.
Reporters at the lower House of parliament have been reporting that the representatives of the people from the main opposition party have still maintained their position that the PM who is an elite from the North West Region would be allowed to address the law makers if the current crisis rocking the two English speaking Regions is included in the agenda for deliberation.
On Monday November 27, 2017, the budget was presented in a relatively calm house in the presence of SDF’s MPs who many suspected they were to manifest and interrupt the adoption of the budget which they did not.
Sources say the heat at the National Assembly might provoke the House speaker, Cavaye YegieDjibrille to get the forces of law and order to bring calm in the house. A decision which has been viewed by political pundit as being another twisted move that will not go down well. Others think the SDF lawmakers have over reacted and need to stop it at once.
